About Catalyst
Catalyst is our monthly Wednesday night ministry at New Life Church International for students 6-12th grade. Catalyst is loaded with friends, small group discussions, and messages geared towards students and their everyday life. Our goal is to create an experience where students can meet Christ and grow in their relationship with Him.
This is more than just a youth group. We are the next generation who are called for such a time as this. We are a generation that is here to bridge the gap between all generations, and to lead others towards Christ by our actions, our words, and our faith. We are Catalysts and through our actions, God will use us to create opportunities for spiritual conversations that will lead people to a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ.
Every student who walks through our doors on Wednesday night is greeted by a group of excited people ready to welcome you to another great experience at Catalyst! If it is your first visit, that’s awesome. You’ll be directed to a kiosk to give us a little information about yourself. It’s very important for us to know who you are, who your parents are, and how to get in contact in case of an emergency and to let you know about upcoming events at Catalyst.
Safety is extremely important to us. Our volunteers are background-checked and trained to create a safe, secure environment for every student.

Finding Hope
Today, more than ever, students are searching to find hope in a crazy society. They are seeking peace in a world full of chaos and truth in a mass of confusion. That is why we desire to create an atmosphere where students feel comfortable to ask questions, free to discuss the message, and the opportunity to find answers by staying engaged in the conversation.
Our services are built around small groups because we believe that having friends and adult leaders is critical to understanding who we are in Christ. Our small groups provide space for students and leaders to talk through tough questions while staying engaged in the message, ultimately leading them to a place of hope.
Knowing God
Students are faced with very high-level questions. Who is God really? What difference does He make in my life? Who am I? What is my purpose? How do I know if I’m making the best decisions? The Bible provides relevant answers to questions like these. Our messages provide biblical, foundational truth for questions teenagers deal with every day.
One of the ways we do this is by teaching them about the character of God and how to become more like Christ in their current phase of life. We want to be intentional about what we say every service, so each student is walking away remembering what is most important.
Being Real
Being Real is about expressing who God created you to be! Catalyst is the perfect place for students to be real while having fun! Students learn that it's okay to have fun at church and they have many opportunities to play games, listen to music, enjoy snacks, and hang out with friends. Students will definitely want to share what’s happening at Catalyst.
